**IMPORTANT - Updated Rabies Requirements**
Rabies certificate, either paper or digital copy, must be shown for all dogs 16 weeks of age an over. A rabies tag is NOT valid proof AND the rabies vaccination must have been given at least 28 days or more prior to Doggie Day Spa.
The new protocol is for those dogs that are getting their first rabies vaccine ever or the first in more than a year.
It is intended to ensure that a dog doesn’t get the rabies vaccine the day of or the week before the event. This is for the safety of those handling the dogs and of the dogs themselves because it takes 28 days for antibodies to be formed after the dog gets the injection.
For the vast majority of those who regularly support DDS, you just need to bring your current rabies certificate. In the situation where the dog has had a rabies vaccine and it is getting an annual in the time frame of the 28 days, the owner would bring the old certificate as well as the new one to prove continuous coverage.
We hope this addresses your concerns and welcome any other questions.

We look forward to seeing you and your furry companions!
