Dear Community Partner,
On behalf of Families on the Spectrum, we would like to invite you to partner with us as we work to provide resources and support to Autism families in Western Kentucky. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is the fastest growing pervasive developmental disability in the United States. ASD affects at least 1 in 59 children with no known cause or cure which makes it likely that you personally know an individual with autism or their family. Families on the Spectrum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports families affected by autism. It is our mission to provide support and outreach for those affected by autism as well as providing education and awareness to our community. We focus on families and intentionally build connections through events and one on one interaction. Throughout the year we host meetings with community speakers, safety training, and private autism events that families may not otherwise be able to attend. The Autism Gala is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Our goal is to continue to provide the resources needed to ensure the safety of our children on the spectrum. We have done this most recently by creating sensory bags for our first responders. Our hope is that if the need arises during an accident they will be able to sooth the adult or child and let them know it’s going to be ok. May 20th is our 8th Annual Autism Gala! We are so proud of how this event continues to grow each year! We would like to formally invite you to attend what promises to be an epic night of donations and awareness. The event will take place at the Blooms n’ Gardens located at 4285 Pullen Ln, Paducah, KY.
